          SLAM! That was the sound of the screen door closing behind me as I ran outside with a magnifying glass to study the world around me. It is one of the earliest memories I have of being curious about the natural world. As I’ve grown as a person and as a scientist, I have found a love of not just science, but in communicating that excitement and wonder of the living world to others.
